Controlled Rebellion, a series of five meticulously crafted pieces using graphite and charcoal as my primary mediums. This work explores the duality of constraint and liberation in the female experience. To me, rebellion is not just an act of defiance but a spiritual movement, an internal revolution. Through these pieces, I challenge societal perceptions of women, particularly the misconceptions that obscure their true strength as nurturing, healing forces.
The title Controlled Rebellion reflects the tension between conformity and resistance. This series invites the audience to see rebellion not as conflict, but as a deliberate assertion of identity. Have you ever felt uneasy in a room, trapped by expectations, or judged for being different? This work serves as a reminder that you have the power to embrace your true self.
